How to Go!
The first time you use the service you will be required to bring proof of identification and to fill in a short registration form. You will then be asked to pay the small membership fee which is used to help maintain the centre. The staff will then show you your equipment and will be pleased to train you in how to use it safely. The whole process should take no longer than fifteen to thirty minutes and once you feel confident, then off you go!You will only be required to complete a practice drive for the first time of use, but will be required to confirm that your health had not deteriorated since the previous visit and to declare any other additional circumstances that may affect your ability to operate the equipment safely.
It is recommended that, once you are enrolled into the system, you ring the centre in advance to book your equipment to guarantee that it will be available for you when you require it.
Currently the membership fee is £5.00, which entitles you to a 30 day membership. If a passport photograph is provided to us within 30 days of your enrolment then the membership is upgraded for free to a full annual membership. (The photogragh is for your membership card.)
Apart from the membership fee (whether you only have a temporary or annual membership card) the equipment is free at the point of use. However we will always be grateful for any donations you would like to give us to help us to keep providing the service.
